Now, the wonderful and joyous occasion has arrived!

We will be right by your side on your big day – helping you and guiding you on how to get married, either at the Town Hall or at the Ancient Church of Gl. Hojerup.

We do so love this part and we will do anything to make everything perfect and arrange an unforgettable wedding day for you both.

Witnesses

All of our wedding packages include the 2 neccessary witnesses. You are welcome to use friends or family members of your own choice as well.

Marriage certificate

On your wedding day, you will receive two marriage certificates in 5 different languages: Danish, English, Spanish, German and French.

Apostille

If required for your marriage certificate, we offer:

Apostille Service for 200 €.

The stamp is attached by The Danish Foreign Ministry. It is international and does not have an expiration date. If you ask for our Apostille Service, we wil return the certificate to you within 1 week by DHL.

Please note that the fee for Apostille Service outside of the borders of Europe is 250€.

  • The registration of your passport and, if available, identification card/ID will take place 15 minutes before your wedding.
  • Christianfeld: The registration will take place in Kolding. 

The Danish authorities have already checked and approved your documents.

We love to meet our couples and offer that personal touch. 

We want you to relaxe and enjoy your wedding day. When we are present, it is much easier for you because you know that you are taken good care of.

The ceremony may be performed in Danish or English, but translation/interpretation services are available – please let us know your language requirements.

No, Magical Weddings arrange for witnesses to validate the ceremony.

Our Wedding Packages include two witnesses that we can provide. But you are always welcome to bring your own witnesses – if you wish so.

We only ask that they understand the language in which the ceremony is performed. They do not need to show any ID.

Yes, as long as you provide the neccessary documents, anyone may get legally married in Denmark.

You do not need to be a Danish citizen to be allowed to get married in Denmark. Anyone with a valid passport or residence permit (no matter to what country) can get married in our wonderful little country.

No, the ceremony that we offer is not a religious wedding ceremony. In stead, the ceremony is performed by a marriage registrar.

Since the church is not part of the National Danish Church  anymore, no religious acts take place here.

Yes, we pride ourselves of being one of the easiest countries in the world to marry the love of your life.

After the law has been changed, you don’t need to show a birth certificate or proof of being single, which makes it so much easier.

To get married in Denmark, your passport needs to be valid at least 3 months from the day you leave Denmark. 

In 2014, Stevns Klint was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site for its layers of clay rich in iridium, which is essential to pre-historic research as iridium is abundant in meteors and believed to be proof that a massive meteor must have struck Earth approx. 65 million years ago, ending the era of the dinosaurs.

Yes, please check the map. No matter where you choose to get married, we will be right by your side on your wedding day – to solve any potential last minute ussues that may occur. So you don’t have to worry about them.

Apostille is a stamp from the Danish Foreign Ministry attached to your marriage certificate, legalizing the signatures on said marriage certificate. 

We highly recommend that you get the apostille stamp, since many countries that are not obliged to demand an apostille stamp, still demand it. 

The apostille stamp does not have an expiration date.

Please check with our Office,  which country will require The stamp.

Price for our service within eu: 250€, outsider eu:300€.

Yes, with our skilled staff and our expertise, we can make it happen. We handle your documents to give you a succesfull express wedding.

Once approved, we have the neccessary contacts so we can make an appointment for you to get married within just a few days.

The additional fee for an express wedding is 200 €.

No, the law has changeds, which means that you and your partner do not need to provide us with a birth certificate or proof of being single.

Please note, that our application form has not yet been updated. It still asks you for a copy, which we do not need. Please continue without the proof of being single and/or birth certificate.
